The Trouble With The “Truther Without The Truth” Movement

We’ve arrived at the time most call “The Information Age”. Centuries of information, facts, knowledge, folklore, myth, data, fairy tales and food are at our fingertips.

How would our ancestors act? Would they approve of the use of this technology to spread even the gospel? Should they frown upon us for still succumbing to the lures of these devices? Would they warn of the sin and seduction we would be letting in our homes? The new levels of access we were granting the world and all of it’s devices to our most precious gifts, our families.

Would our waste of these gifts hurt them more than the freedoms, rights and privilege we give away every day for the sake of our convenience.

I wrote in a previous article about the advice given to a charlatan. The most important advice was to have an audience of the semi-literate. Those educated just enough to have abandon their common sense. Theses groups of the semi-literate rely to much on what they think they know. The author warns that a group not educated to this point still acknowledge the common sense that God gave them and would not make a gullible crowd.

So, in this day and time, with this spread of information there is an avalanche of thought schools, religions and ways of life now available to all types of people.

In Judges we see the Israelites continuously fall away from God after the Lord had delivered them their enemies. They would, like clockwork fall away after some years. Are we not repeating this same pattern as a people? America has went through periods of major revival. When she decided to turn herself back to the Lord and humble herself and pray, and things happened! These revivals are said to have been frequent in the 1800-1900’s, and some say we could be preparing for another one now.

One thing that stands out among the offerings of information and truth on the internet is the plethora of people trying to offer the truth without Jesus Christ. Usually their truth is tied to some other god, or no god at all. Some promote self as god, totally denying the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They claim that heaven and hell are just states of mind, and we are the author and finishers of our own faith.

I’ve never been one to go along with the idea that we all serve the same god. The God of the  Bible requires belief in His Son in order to come to Him. How can we claim to love someone when we won’t acknowledge their child, at least, and ignore the ultimate sacrifice at worst.

The truth without The Truth is a dim and hopeless tale of woe. Learning about the systems of the world and how they are conspired against us can be a burden some of us can’t bear. The powers that be are using fear as the control tactic. We have to constantly fear being watched, hacked and attacked. Even the place we hold sacred, our home is available for prying eyes through our electronics, web cams and other gadgets.

Jesus is the only answer to all the anxiety and fear we are burdened with through our lives. Giving people the truth that is a huge bitter pill to swallow without a solution just puts them at arms and causes conflict. There “truthers” claim to be exposing the order out of chaos plan, but by terrifying people and destroying their understanding or trust and security without offering a refuge and escape is playing right into the hands of the agenda they claim to be fighting against.

The trouble with the “truther without The Truth” movement is it leaves off the ending. It never gives the ultimate happily ever after.
